Margie J. Eason, 94, of Brookland, passed away on Wednesday, November 05, 2014 at Health South. She was born November 18, 1919 in Dixie to the late Bury and Bertha Boling Whitney. Mrs. Eason was retired from the food service department of the Brookland Schools. She was a member of Potters House Church of Brookland.

Mrs. Eason was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester Eason; a brother, Herbert Whitney; and a sister, Dorothy Hampton.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Westmoreland of Brookland and Joyce (James) Thornton of St. Louis, MO; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Charles (Mimah) Whitney of Dixie; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 pm Friday with chapel services beginning at 2 pm at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Rev. Rex Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pine Log Cemetery Association.
