I roomed with Charles at U of Ark the Fall Semester of 1960. Went home with him at Thanksgiving and met his Aunts and brother Tommy. Hitched from Fayetteville to Batesville. Got picked up by a drunk in a 1959 Pontiac Tri Power. What a ride!! Charles was a great guy-never met a stranger. World was a better place with him in it. My sympathy goes out to entire family.

Tom, Kathy and Vanemburg Family: I was saddened at the passing of Charles. I remember all the good times when your family lived on Broad street, just up 2 or 3 doors from our house. Such a great family. I will be praying for you and your family during this most difficult time. Janie Weaver Prichard

I was so saddened to learn of the passing of Charles. I have not seen Charles after graduating in 1959 and leaving Batesville in 1961. I was close friends with Charles during school because he was always included when hanging out with my good friend Tommy.
May God bless all of the family in their loss and know that they are included in our prayers
Ronny .

Tom and Kathy, we are sorry to hear of Charles's passing. I have so many fond memories of our times together. I remember the summer that Tom and Charles walked across the White River, the time that the horse ran away with Tom and me, the time we visited you in Arizonia, our many trips to the river and camping, so many good times. I haven't seen Charles in years, but I talked about him Sunday night after passing his home. I don't know that I knew Charles as an adult, but loved him and your family as a child and teenager. There is a loss for all of us that have such great memories. Love to all, Jessica and Michael
