Gerald Leo ''Yankee'' Marcotte, 67 of Delaware, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in Delaware. He was born on December 22, 1946 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to his parents Gerard Leo and Blanche Irene (Valin) Marcotte. He worked in Logistics and enjoyed Sailing, Football and spending time with his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father Gerard Leo Marcotte.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Joyce (Burris) Marcotte of Delaware; two daughters, Lori Ann Sims of Arlington, Texas and Cynthia Lynn Watts of New Blaine, Arkansas; three sisters, Jacqueline Giguere of Blackstone, Massachusetts, Helen Whiting of Bellingham, Massachusetts and Jeanne Lyle of Patucket, Rhode Island; one brother, Robert Marcotte of North Attleborough, Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Justin, Adam and Keirnan and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at New Liberty Church in Delaware. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers are Justin Musgrove, Adam Musgrove, Keirnan Sims, Brian Sims, Roger Watts and Oliver Giguere.
Honorary pallbearers are Lori Sims, Cynthia Watts, Eric Giguere, Lucas Giguere, Kevin Marcotte, Matthew LeBerge, Jessie Olson and Wendy Powell.
