George Washington Smith, Jr. 80, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014. He was born May 14, 1934 in McCrory, Arkansas to George Washington and Myrtle (Green) Smith, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Kitty (Stuckey) Smith of the home, three sons, Joe Paul Smith (Kim) of Melbourne, AR; John Alan Smith of Little Rock, AR; and James Smith of Fairfield Bay, AR; two daughters, Marianne Hardcastle (Heath) of Tulsa, OK; and Susan Matthews (Scott) of Weiner, AR; three grandchildren, Megan Matthews, Hunter Smith, and Lydia Hardcastle, two sisters, Waunita Smith of Clinton, AR; and Ina Haverstick of Indiana; and many close friends.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 4, 2014 in Higden Church of Christ.

Kitty and family, my condolences in your loss. Many fond memories of those early days at the little Church of Christ on the corner in Melbourne. Our dad thought the world of George and I remember him speaking so fondly of him when I was a little girl.
