Odas was one of the sweetest men I have ever known. I have so many great memories of him and he was either working hard or laughing in everyone. Most doing both at the same time. To this day I still use one of his favorite lines he use to tell me all the time............."If you get started late, quit early and make up for it". I always loved the way he laughed as he would tell me that. He use to always say how while grading the roads he would see a bunch of white dog woods and it would look so much like snow he would get a chill. Then he would laugh. Just imagine how he is enjoying the beauty of Heaven and being with Ernestine again, and hopefully that will bring you some peace. Praying for all of you.

This is a time of remembering a life that was a big part of a lot of peoples lives. The years went by too fast. We know where he is, in heaven with my beloved sister and his beloved wife. This is what he has wanted ever since she left us. A love like this doesn't come around very often. He loved her with all his being. He loved her past the grave. If you want to read a book on love, look at his life.
He worked so hard in his younger years, for his family.
They were with us when our daughter died. They loved our kids, as much as we loved theirs. Their kids are the next thing to mine. Sometimes, our kids were so much alike we thought they were twins.
Odas was the closest thing to a brother I ever had I will miss him. Good bye, my brother.

Uncle Odas always made me laugh with his stories, I never knew when he started to tell them if they were real or just a funny story until he finished them. Sometimes the real stories were just as funny because of the way he told them. I will miss him. My memories of him will make me sad sometimes but mostly will make me smile. Him and Aunt Ernestine are a wonderful part of my childhood and lifelong memories. He will always be a treasure and a blessing in my life. I'm so proud to have been his Niece. To his Kids and Grand Kids, I love you! Bev
