Flora Mae Depner

of Conway, AR

March 31, 1929 - September 15, 2014

Flora Mae Daves Beene Depner, 85, of Conway, Ar. passed on to be with her heavenly father on September 15, 2014. She was born March 31, 1929 in Quail, Texas.
Flo was of the Church of Christ faith and was a member of the HWY 65 Church of Christ where she was very active and involved. She retired from the Int'l Shoe Factory at Conway and again later retired from Kimberly Clark (Conway Mills) as micro lab technician following 21 years of service. In her leisure time, Flo enjoyed doing ceramics, painting, working in the garden, traveling and being with her friends and family. She loved flowers and her favorite color was purple. Her most cherished possession was her Bible.
Flo loved and enjoyed her family very much. She was a joyous person, full of laughter and never met a stranger. Her happiness was spoken in her own words, as she would say to others ''The sun is shining and the birds are singing''. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter Kay Kitchens (Matt) of Maumelle, Ar. and her son Gary Lynn Beene of Paris, Tn., two granddaughters of Little Rock, Ar. Wendy (Shane) Warbington and Carey Webb, three great granddaughters Mykaela (Jacob) Glose; Lauren (Truman) Falkner of Kansas City, Mo.; and Emilee Stafford of North Little Rock, Ar., one great grandson Cade Warbington of Little Rock, Ar.; and one great, great granddaughter Perpetua Falkner of Kansas City, Mo.
She is also survived by four sisters, Mary Evelyn Finch of Roland, Ar.; Imogene Leslie (Willard) of Wichita, Ks.; Marie Vaughn (Joe) of Clarksville, Ar.; and Monica Bush (Gene) of Gassville, Ar., one brother, Jerry Daves (Lynn) of Springhill, Ar., one sister-in-law Gloria Daves of Vilonia, Ar., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Depner; her father and mother Ewell and Anice Daves; brothers Eulas Daves, Robert Daves (Mae), Tommy Daves, and Eddie Daves; and sister Patricia Chamblee (Sonny).
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Bro. Bruce Reeves officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service at Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Flo was one of my best friends. We spent a lot of time together in the 1980's and 1990's . She was a wonderful friend and a good Christian lady.

I will miss her so much. She was like a sister to me when I had no family here to spend time with.
