Jeffrey Terrell Rolen

of Harriet, AR

June 4, 1953 - September 10, 2014

Jeffrey Terrell Rolen passed away peacefully from this life into the next, at sunset on September 10, 2014 at Indian Rock Village Nursing Center. He was lovingly cared for to his last moments by the staff there at IRV.

Jeff was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, June 4, 1953 to Terrell Franklin Rolen and Jewel Lorraine (Bane) Rolen.

Jeff loved hunting and fishing. He was passionate about hot rods and muscle cars. He knew how things worked and could figure out how to fix anything, automobile related or otherwise! Jeff told his sister once that he thought Heaven would be the place where every time he put in his fishing line, he would come up with a keeper!

These past 10 years were a gift from God, a heart donor and the hands of the staff at Baptist Hospital Heart Transplant Center, Little Rock. His family is extremely grateful for these many extra years.

Survivors include his sister Andrea Boyd and husband Paul of Harriet, AR; his brother Gordon Rolen and wife Connie of Oologah, OK; his brother Randy Rolen and wife Lucinda of Marshall, AR and two nephews, Aaron Rolen and Terry Rolen. Jeff has one son Brett Allen Rolen of Conway, AR.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Terrell and Jewel Rolen.

Graveside services and burial will be at Harness Cemetery, near Leslie, AR, 1:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2014, with Bro. Cairl Baysinger officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. No visitation. Roller-Coffman Funeral Home of Marshall will conduct the service.

Jeff really was a blessing to help care for over the past few years. I appreciate his family for allowing me as a team member at IRV to be a part of his care team. He was a special person and now he is in a special place. He will be greatly missed.
