Dear Paula,
I was saddened to learn about Maxine. As her obituary stated, "she was a true Southern Lady" and one my parents thought the world of . I know that God's grace will be sufficient to see you through this "new normal" as you journey forward.

Paula, my deepest sympathies are with you in this sad time. I have many fond memories of your mother from our childhood together. She was there for me in good times and bad, and I have always thought of her as a sweet, gracious lady. May God give you comfort in your loss.

Paula, the obituary is beautifully written, and your mom is beautiful as well. All of our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family and will continue to be with you through this time of loss and sadness. I offered to drive Mom and Jean up there but mom is so weak and just is not up to it. I wish we could be there to share your burden.

Love,
Eva
