I'm very saddened to read about Kit's passing away. We met at the 3rd degree gym in Hot Springs. I enjoyed talking with him at the gym. We both loved working out lifting weights. Made me sad to read of his passing.
My sympathy.
I have known Kit since college days in Mississippi and our paths crossed for years. He was a wonderful friend. We would call each other on our birthdays and that is how I learned of his surgery. His passing was very premature.
He loved his family, friends and the "farm". He had brought me some of the pecans at times and I made him pralines. My children loved "Mr. Kit" also and will miss him and his "words of wisdom". Kit helped us a lot on our small farm and I learned so much from him.
The funeral service was touching and I know Psalms 71 comforted him. Our prayers are for Kit and his family and Pat who always loved him and stood by him. With love Maryann
I only met my cousin once many years ago with our Aunt Hazel. We spent several hours talking about family and catching up. I am so sorry for your loss and also that I never had more time to know him. He seemed kind and gentle and I am glad to be his relative. Thinking of him today.

My sincere condolences to Zach, Kit's family, and friends.
When Kit was once married to my cousin, he hired & trained me as a 14 year-old farm hand. We worked some long days in the summers of 77-78, and became friends.
Other lessons Kit taught me include: How to smile all day without really trying, How to slalom really fast, How to play outfield, How to lift something heavy, How to make it rain pecans, How to enjoy just being quiet outdoors, and so on.
After college I returned to the river bottom to look for Kit, but we lost contact. Even today, a part of his personality is passed on to my own family.
Rest in Peace, Kit
Dear cousin, time went by and left with only faint memories of our brief time spent together. You were unique and a joy to know and a huge loss to all who know and love you. May GOD comfort all those who grieve their loss. May we all be reminded to stay in touch as best we can as time moves on and we can't go back but take the time to reach out to our friends & family as we go....Blessings for your friends and family at this time and always. Love & Peace
