June 14, 1919 - July 16, 2014

Milford R. Williams, 95, of Jonesboro, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the Lexington Place Nursing Center. He was born June 14, 1919 in Jonesboro to the late Riley and Mae Yarbrough Williams. Mr. Williams worked as an operations manager for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company, retiring after 46 years. He was a member of the Forrest Home Church of the Nazarene and a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. He served in Italy during World War II. Milford was crazy about the game of golf, where he started as a caddy and played for years.

Milford was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruby Mae Williams; a daughter, Alice Mae Ohnick; two sisters, Morene W. McGill and Wanda L. Hogan; and a brother, Max Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice (Billie) Wilson Williams; two sons, Jerry (Anna) Williams of Jonesboro and Michael (Marian) Williams of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren, Robin Alexander, Wes Williams, Travis Williams, and Savannah Williams; a great grandson, Will Alexander; three nieces and two nephews.

Visitation will be 10-11 am Saturday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with the Chapel service beginning at 11am with Ken Stallings officiating. Burial will be private.

The Friendship Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Lasting memorials can be made to the Forrest Home Church Building Fund.
