Vernice Harrison, 57, of Pleasant Grove, Arkansas passed away on June 21, 2014. Vernice was born in Mountain View, Arkansas on May 25, 1957 to the late Gilbert and Elane (Ausborn) Burns.
Vernice is survived by one son, Gary Duane Smith of Mountain View, Arkansas; one daughter, Melia Gail Gay and husband Danny of Mountain View, Arkansas; two brothers, Charles Burns and Doyle Burns both of Mountain View, Arkansas; two sisters, Dorothy Milligan of Fifty-Six, Arkansas and Dellar Fisher of Guion, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Mariah Jones, Garrette Smith, JJ Thomas, Krestun Clark, Karla Smith, Rustin Harrison, Raven Harrison, and Reagan Ponder; two great-grandchildren, Aubree Jones and Olivia Smith; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Vernice was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Elane (Ausborn) Burns, and one brother, Larry Burns.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2014, from 9-10AM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will begin at 10:00AM following the visitation. Brother JC Thomas is officiating. Interment will be at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Daniel Younger, Luke Hale, Tommy Welch, Roger Smith, JJ Thomas, and Scotty Ponder. Honorary pallbearers are George ''Rusty'' Harrison, Thomas Welch, Charles Burns, Doyle Burns, Danny Gay, Gary Smith, and Kyle McCarty.
Roller Coffman Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
