I worked with Richard at Blue Cross Blue Shield of TN for several years in the 1990s. I am not related to him but gladly share his last name. We had some great times working at BC. Richard enjoyed boating and wind surfing on Lake Chickamauga. I have missed sharing time with him since he left BC.

Brett & I will surely miss Dr. A! We enjoyed our friendship with him - he always was quick with an interesting tale about something, his travels, life on his boat, his latest woodworking project, baseball, grandchild, politics, Gypsy... I enjoyed working with him for almost 7 years, too. I learned a lot from him. He is surely missed - taken from us too soon. Our thoughts & prayers are with his family.

It was a pleasure knowing Richard. He was such an interesting person with such diversified interest. On of our favorites was his stories about his adventures on his sail boat with his companion Gypsy ( his little Dachshund dog) who passed recently. Richard will be missed.

I worked with Dr. Armstrong over the last several years and really enjoyed it. We were on a committee that met every week and his wit and wisdom were always welcome. I'm sorry I'll be out of town for the memorial service and I'm sorry for your loss.

I really enjoyed working with Dr. A. When my daughter was about 4 Dr. A and my family were both camping at the same campground and my daughter hurt herself I ran down to his campsite and he reassured me she was fine. He will be missed.

Richard was always talking baseball. He knew the statistics and players names and could talk about any team but his eyes lit up when he could brag on the Blue Jays. He was always smiling and positive. He will be missed.

My thoughts are with all of you. I worked for 5+ years with Dr. Armstrong at QualChoice. I always enjoyed my conversations with him. I will always remember needing to fill out some kind of official government form and it required me to get Dr. Armstrong's addresses for the last 10 years. He looked at me oddly and said, "Well, there were a few years I lived on a boat and did not have an address". We had to figure that one out!. I will never hear "Torronta Blue Jays" mentioned without thinking of him.
