Mary Ella Watts, age 93, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Chester, Virginia. She was born July 4, 1920, in Boone County, Arkansas, the daughter of Elmer Veston and Myrtle Eula (Ruble) Earls. Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Isaac Watts; her daughter, Beverly Kay Watts; and her grandson, Clinton Douglas Watts.

Mary married Delbert Watts November 24, 1940. She was a homemaker and lived her entire life in Harrison and Boone County until health concerns dictated a move to be near her family in Virginia.

Mary is survived by her son, Gary L. Watts; her granddaughter, Brandi Denise Watts; and many dear friends.



Graveside service was Monday, June 9, 2014, at Maplewood Cemetery with Rev. David Williams officiating.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
