Cletius Glen Parker, age 66, of Stoverville, Arkansas, died Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Hospice of the Hills in Harrison. He was born December 28, 1947, in Harrison, the son of Isaac Walter and Alma (Mallone) Parker. Cletius was preceded in death by his father, Isaac Walter Parker, and his brother, Clarence Parker.
Cletius was a lover of music and singing and enjoyed hunting. He was a goat farmer and wood craftsman.
Cletius is survived by his wife, Cecile (McClincy) Parker; his mother, Alma Parker; his son, Glen Parker, of Stoverville, Arkansas; his step-sons,
Will Robbins of Stoverville and John Robbins of Shreveport, Louisiana; his step-daughters, Rene (Robbins) Austin of Yellville and Monica (Robbins) Jones of Omaha; three sisters: Irene Diebert, Faye Hale and Maxine Gibbons; six grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Crossroads Church.
Funeral service was Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Crossroads Church, with Bro. Kenneth Clark officiating.
Interment was in Crossroads Church.
Pallbearers were Will Robbins, John Robbins, Glen Parker, Doug Austin, Mike Hensley and Andrew Robbins.
Honorary pallbearers were B. J. Jones, Sean Hensley, Kyle Baugh and Pete Daniels.
I was shocked to see that Cletius had passed. I guess in my mind he will always be as he was when we lived out on the mountain. I truly enjoyed him as a person and a man. Annette and I wanted to express our sadness at the loss and our sympathy for his family.
