Barbara Ann Puffer-Walberg- Snyder

of Harrison, AR

July 2, 1925 - July 25, 2013

Barbara Ann Puffer-Walberg-Snyder, age 88, of Harrison, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013, at her home with her family by her side. She was born July 2, 1925, in Clark Mills, New York. Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sons, Eric Walberg, Mark Walberg, and Kent Alexander Walberg; and a grandson, Larry Bennett.

Barbara was a woman of the world. She had a B.A. in English Literature, teaching credentials from California State University, and a M.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University. She lived in Surry, England for two years and in Guadalajara, Mexico for three years where she had a Psychology practice with Mexican clientele and taught and lived in the Mexican neighborhood. She then taught for ten years at Santa Ana High School where she taught English as a second language and absolutely loved doing so.

Barbara married Clifford B. Walberg, Ph.D., and they had four children together. They divorced and Barbara later married Dean Snyder. She loved her family and friends. She and her "sister" of choice, Joyce Ogle, went on many wonderful trips of sharing and caring, loving and laughing, and learning always. The body and mind can take us just so far, but the spirit can take her all the way home to Jesus and her loved ones.

Barbara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nora Ann and Michael Hendricks; her special friend, Joyce Ogle; nine grandchildren, Kyle Peter King, Erin Ann (Pearl) Everett-Herrera; Ernest Eric (Melissa) Everett, Alexis Nichole Walberg, Sean Andrew Walberg, Amanda Ashley Walberg, Stephanie Marie, Kimberly Renee and Kelly Ann; eight great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.
