Jerry D. Ruble, age 66, of Harrison, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 18, 2013. He passed away at Hospice House in Harrison. He was born October 25, 1946, in Harrison, the son of James Raymond and Vancie Mae (O'Daniel) Ruble, who preceded
him in death.
Jerry as a member of Elmwood Baptist Church. He was a man of his word. He had a passion for welding and playing in the dirt. Jerry was a master welder who owned and operated Ruble Welding and Excavation. He was the first volunteer fire chief of Krooked Kreek Fire Department from 1977 until 1984. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Nancy Ruble, of the home; his son, Scott Ruble and Sheri Faulconer; his step-son, Nathan Shannon; his step-daughter, Kristina Setzer and husband Arthur; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Glenda Ruble and Don and Wanda Ruble.
Jerry is also survived by his grandchildren, Eli Ruble, Tristan Setzer, Jacob Setzer, Kaleb Stezer, Mathew Shannon, Stephanie Shannon, Christopher Shannon and Nathan Shannon, Jr.; and a host of other family and many dear friends.
NO VISITATION.
Graveside service was Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Elmwood Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Bryant officiating.
Pallbearers were Arlen Mondy, Bradley Ruble, Gearld Taylor, Jim Parker, George Parker and Billy Campbell.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Cathy Clary, the staff of Hospice of the Hills, and Jerry's close friends and family.
