Dorrance "Slick" Hugh Patton, age 77, of Pyatt, Arkansas, left this life behind at 7:55 AM, Friday, February 22, 2013, with his family by his side, at his home. He was born July 14, 1935, in Pyatt, the son of Chester Garfield and Cora Elizabeth (Potts) Patton. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Viva Horsley, Ava Horsley, Pauline Bearitson and Lucy Ellen Patton; three brothers, C. G. Patton, C. H. Patton, an infant brother and two grandchildren Cody and Michael Worth.
Slick married Dolly Studdard from Mountain Home November 3, 1962, in Kansas City, Kansas. They moved to Dallas, Texas where he worked for Frito-Lay. They then moved back to Pyatt where they built a grocery and service station, Patton's DX Station. A few years later they decided to buy some flat bottom boats and canoes and got into the floating business. Slick was a wonderful sportsman who loved coon hunting, deer hunting, and fishing.
Slick is survived by his wife, Dolly Patton, of the home; his sons, Randy Patton of Harrison and Darrell Patton and his wife Noelle, of Harrison; his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth and Blake Anderson, of Pyatt; his sister, Lucille Royal, of Pyatt; his brother, C. L. Patton, of Pyatt; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
NO VISITATION.
Funeral service was Monday, February 25, 2013, at Pyatt Baptist Church, with Bro. Jimmy Dale Huskey officiating.
Pallbearers were Gary Villines, Eric Simmons, Brent Fisk, Matt Urosite, Nile Sexton and Keith Lafollette.
Interment was in Patton Family Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Dorrance. We have good memories of the times that we have had with him in the past. May you find peace and comfort. We love you Aunt Dolly. Rest in Peace, Uncle Dorrance.
