Frank Eugene ReddingI am a Veteran.

of Harrison, AR

April 7, 1929 - July 21, 2012

Frank Eugene Redding, age 83, of Harrison, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, Harrison. He was born April 7, 1929, in Fandon, Illinois, the son of William and Bessie Alice (Black) Redding. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Elvie, Ora Ray, Leslie, Leroy and Jesse; two sisters, Etta Kendal and Goldie Sellner; and one grandson, Bryan Michael Redding.

Frank had been a member of Faith Assembly of God Church since moving to Harrison in 1984. He was previously of Texas, where he and Shirley lived for 35 years. Frank married Shirley Turney in Evington, Illinois in 1948. He managed Youngblood's Fried Chicken No. 7 in Texas for 20 years and later worked in the shipyards as a material expeditor.

In his free time, Frank enjoyed gardening, antiquing, gospel sings, camping and loved a good joke. He was never one for the limelight but would always be available to help those he could.

Frank is survived by his wife, Shirley Jane (Turney) Redding; his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Alan and Linda Redding of Beaumont, Texas and Patrick and Debbie Redding of Silsbee, Texas; a sister, Wauetta Robinson, of Springfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Angella Leslie and husband Joe, Kimberly Kiker and husband Gary, Christopher Redding, Nickolas Redding, Amanda Redding, Jessica Redding and Lindsey Redding; seven great-grandchildren, Sofie, Gracie, Tyson and Lillian Kiker, Zane and Jack Leslie and Annabelle Redding; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was prior to the funeral service on Wednesday at Faith Assembly of God.

Funeral service was Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Faith Assembly of God Church, with Bro. Arlis Thrasher officiating.

Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Danny Paul, Bob Crowell, Richard Baily, Arnold Newton, Bill Boorman and Corky Britt.

Frank was a special friend to us. He was always so nice and friendly. We will miss him very much, but we know we will see him again someday. Shirley, we will be praying for you and the family. You are special. May God be with you now and in the days to come.
