Janet Gayle Hawes, age 63, of Batavia (Harrison), Arkansas, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at her home. She was born February 14, 1949, in Ekalaka, Montana, the daughter of L. L. "Tuffy" and Rosalie (LaBree) Askin. Janet was a member of Osage Baptist Church. She was a card dealer in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Janet is survived by her loving husband, John Hawes, of the home; her parents of St. George, Utah; her sons, Taylor Hawes of Seattle, Washington and Grant Hawes of Stockton, California; her daughters, Jaci Larsen, Darian Kroff, and Marquerite Hawes, all of St. George, Utah; her sister, Frankye Pepito, of Cedar City, Utah; and her brothers, Tom Askin of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jack Askin of Hurricane, Utah.
Janet is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and many dear friends.
Visitation was Friday, June 15, 2012, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Osage Baptist Church, with Bro. Lonnie Younger officiating.
Pallbearers were Ron Larsen, Jason Kroff, Grant Hawes and Taylor Hawes.
Honorary pallbearers were Dakota Larsen, Chase Larsen, Ryant Watts, Lindsey Hawes, Taylor Hawes, Jr. and Justin Hawes.

So sorry to hear of your loss, John. I worked with you at Milam's Refrigeration years ago. I could see the love you had for Cookie each and every time you spoke of her. May God be with you.
