So much a man of Faith was he, that brother Dewayne went into the Gideon prayer chain of e-mails and asked for prayer. It was my privilege to lift him and Miss Mary up to the Great Physician and ask for comfort and blessings...Without Dewayne's leap of faith to ask for such consideration...my life would have been, today, so much less w/o ever knowing of him!

Our hearts are broken for your whole family and know the loss in your lives is great. May you all find comfort in your memories of Dewayne and in the faith he lived by. I enjoyed getting to know Mr. Treat when I worked for him at Calico Rock School. He was a great man. He loved the Lord, his family, and this great nation. We always had great talks about the St. Louis Cardinals! My prayers go out to the family. He will be truly missed by the community here at Calico Rock.

Mr. Treat was a wonderful Christian man that loved his family and church very much. He talked about them often. Calico Rock School will miss him so much. He was a very good boss to me. He was someone who was not afraid to share his faith in Jesus with everyone. I know he is having a great time in Heaven and will not ever hurt again. I will continue to pray for the family.

Dewayne was and is my best friend. We met on guard duty at Ft Benning,GA in 1975, He invited me and my wife, Hermelinda, to church. He led us to the Lord and has always been an inspiration to us to stay commited to Jesus thru all the ups and downs in life. Mary and Dewayne are more than just best friends, they are the brother and sister everyone should have. Our children played together, we prayed together and we were always there for each other no matter what or where we were. Dewayne is now watching over us and I'm sure he is playing ball with our son, Thomas, and they're probably roommates. We should all aspire to be like Dewayne in our walk with God and be ready to embrace him when God calls us home too.

Mary & Family:
Words cannot express what Dewayne meant to me. He was not only my best friend but a true man of God who helped guide those in need. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and touched so many lives especially his students. He made a difference. My heart breaks for your loss in a husband, father and grandfather. I know he is walking the streets of gold beside Jesus. Let God hold you close in his loving arms and comfort you in your time of sorrow. I know he will meet us at the gates of Heaven and welcome us with open arms. Love and Prayers.
