I went to the one room school house in Congo outside Benton with Johney and Louise Maertens. I was in first grade when they were 7th or 8th graders. Always looked up to them and thought they were wonderful. My dad Noel Brown traded with their Dad August Maertens at Congo Mercantile for many years. I remember those days fondly. I join all friends in expressing my condolences to her family. God bless all of you in your grief and sorrow.
We were saddened to read that Louise had passed away, Memories are of happy earlier days with Felix. She was a sweet lady who brought joy to his life. Health issues prevent our attendence at her service, but know that our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
