Toney E. King, 65 of Scranton, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at his home. He was born on August 25, 1946 to his parents Charles E. and Norene (Hixson) King. He was a truck driver, a United States Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, a member of VFW Post 8383 in New Blaine and of the Protestant faith.
Toney is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Norene King and one brother David King.
Toney is survived by his wife of 42 years Sharon (Stovall) King, one daughter Tammy Kalkas and husband Ron of Scranton, one son Chalres E. King and wife Jennifer of Scranton, two sisters Hilda Cunningham and husband Bobby of Midway and Carolyn Unger and husband Chuck of Truckee, California, one brother Ronnie King and wife Kathy of Subiaco and five grandchildren, Jerad Kalkas, Joshua Kalkas, Elijah King, Ethan King and Abigail King.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial in Wares Chapel Cemetery in Scranton under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jerad Kalkas, Bobby Cunningham, Troy Cunningham, Herbert Geels, Stephen Jimenez and Jesse Bray.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Helping Our Kids Charity, C/O Rogers Tax Service, P.O. Box 89, Scranton, AR 72863.
Sorry to find Toney after all these years of trying to reconnect only find he has passed. Toney and I had great times in our teenage years. His father and mine worked together and our families grew to be very close.
