Nellie Victoria Wallace Hall left us to be with Jesus on March 27, 2012 at Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View.

Born February 7, 1917, Nellie and her twin brother Olen were the youngest of seven children born to Arthur Warren Wallace and Mary Emily Sullivan Wallace all of whom predeceased her.

Nellie's youngest daughter Eva Jean Martens lost her battle with MS on November 19, 1990, leaving Nellie a granddaughter Lorna Martens Morgan (Randy) and great-grandson., Maclane.

As the eldest daughter Mary Evelyn Jones Ridgley and her husband John were fortunate to live close and care for Nellie in the last years of her life.

Grandchildren are Vicki Lynn Ridgley O'Leary (Tom) their son Hayden and Johnny T. Ridgley (Laura) and their daughter Ashley and son Michael John.

Nellie's son William Ivan Allen and his wife Debbie gave Nellie another granddaughter Hayley Allen.

Nellie was blessed with three step-children, Wilma Jean Whitaker, Hazel Acklin and husband John and Charles Roger Hall and wife Lynette. She also had four step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and eight step-great-great-grandchildren. Nellie was also dearly loved by her (adopted) kids Dee (the other Mary Evelyn) and Pete McGreehin.

Nellie will be missed by numerous relatives and her church family from Red Doors Baptist Church. She led the singing there for many years. Nellie loved to sing and had many friends among the Rainbow Singers. Her beautiful voice will be leading the angels now.

Mary,
I am so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. I thought so much of her and she was the sweetest most kind lady with the most beautiful voice. I enjoyed every time that she got to come and sing at Shady Grove during our revivals. I always enjoyed playing the piano when she was leading songs. I know how bad you are hurting, and I pray that God will wrap his loving, comforting arms around you and be with you during this very hard time. May God bless you.

Dear Family - It is always sad to lose someone we love - but
your life must go on. Your Mom was an unusual woman and
led a full life almost to the bitter end. God had blessed her with
musical talent in her voice and I know she loved to sing and
direct others to sing. God be with all of you as you go on with
your sadness. Love all of you. Your Sister - Marie

As Lorna's aunt, (her Dad's sister, Ann), I know how much Lorna loved her "Granny", & spoke of her often to our family. I was fortunate to have met her years ago & she was such a lovely & gracious lady & her family was so important to her. Our deepest sympathy to Nellie's family & friends. Hugs From Heaven

When you feel a gentle breeze
Caress you when you sigh
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From a loved one way up high.

If a soft and tender raindrop
Lands upon your nose
They've added a small kiss
As fragile as a rose.

If a song you hear fills you
With a feeling of sweet love
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From someone special up above.

If you awaken in the morning
To a bluebird's chirping song
It's music sent from Heaven
To cheer you all day long.

If tiny little snowflakes
Land upon your face
It's a hug sent from Heaven
Trimmed with Angel lace.

So keep the joy in your heart
If you're lonely my dear friend
Hugs that are sent from Heaven
A broken heart will mend.

Love you Mary and John. May god bless and give you strength to get through this troubled time.
Evelyn

Aunt Mary,

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your Mother has been an inspiration to me for decades. She always looked her best, behaved her best and her faith saw her though a lot of hard times. It's the same faith I see you call on in your life. She gave you that anchor. She was a wonderful Mother and you're just as wonderful a daughter.
