John Brewster, 63 of Scranton, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in Scranton. He was born on April 17, 1948 in Star City, Arkansas to his parents Edgar and Merle Marie (Fullbright) Brewster. Upon retiring he loved to fish and was a member of River Valley Grace Lutheran Church in Lamar.
John is preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Merle Brewster, one son Jason Rudolf Brewster and two sisters, Marie James and Mildred Gregg.
John is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lillie (Grenwelge) Brewster of the home, one daughter Carol Heffley and husband Ryan of Lavaca, Arkansas, one son Matthew Brewster and wife Hana of Little Rock, Arkansas, three sisters Vera Reynolds of Star City, Arkansas, Janice Mizell of Gould, Arkansas and Bettie Young of Tacoma, Washington, two brothers Charles ''Bubba'' Brewster and William ''Buddy'' Brewster both of Star City, Arkansas and one grandchild on the way.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February, 18, 2012 at River Valley Grace Lutheran Church in Lamar under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Helping Our Kids Charity, C/O Rogers Tax Service, P.O. Box 89, Scranton, AR 72863.

Lillie, Carol, Matthew, and family,
I still can't find words to express the sadness and loss I feel; for John's short life and for your sorrow. This tragedy cannot be fixed. I cannot understand the why this side of heaven. John was a good man in this life and now he is perfect in Christ, his Savior. And I cannot forget Jason who shares with his dad this glorious transformation.

Oh my, what to even say because words cant describe the pain that I know you all must be feeling. Uncle John was an amazing man... one whom I loved dearly... growing up he was always so much fun to around and always had time for us children. Even today, he still had the time and the desire to talk to us and make us all feel special and loved. As you will... We will miss very much as well.
