Leo Thurman Harness, 90, of Mountain View entered into rest on January 26, 2012 in Batesville.

Thurman was born June 15, 1921 in the Thola, Searcy County, Arkansas to James Tedford and Lilly N. (Sutterfield) Harness.

Thurman was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from the Boeing Aircraft.

He is survived by his sons, Hubert Harness and wife Gloria of Wichita, KS, Arthol Harness and wife Paula of Udall, KS, Elmo Harness of Wichita, KS; daughters Loretta Pinon and husband George of Haysville, KS and Evelyn Pinon and husband John of Polk, MO; brothers Hershal Harness, Lester Harness, Henry Harness and John Harness and a sister Floella Clark; twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Thurman was preceded in death by parents, Ted and Lilly Harness; wife, Aretha Branscum Harness and one brother, James Elmer Harness and an infant sister.

Visitation is 9 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Roller Coffman Chapel, Mtn. View.

Funeral service is 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Roller Coffman Chapel, Mtn. View with Bro. Joey Bryant officiating and interment in Campbell Cemetery, Thola, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Hubert Harness, Arthol Harness, Elmo Harness, George Pinon, John Pinon and Jason Harness.
