Willie James Blackwell, 80, of the Sugar Hill community, Mountain View, Arkansas entered into rest on the 11th day of September 2011 at Stone County Medical Center.
Willie was preceded in death by his Father, John Riley Blackwell, his Mother Mary Louizia Dockery Blackwell, eleven Brothers and Sisters and a Grandson in-law, Charles Edward White.
Willie is survived by his wife Burlean Jametta Jenkins Blackwell of Mountain View, Arkansas; his sons Jerry Blackwell, Steve Blackwell and wife Susie, Rex Blackwell and wife Martha, all of Mountain View Arkansas. He is also survived by ten Grandchildren: Wendy Neal and husband Larry, Angula McDonald and husband Joe, Roper Blackwell and wife Kara and Sari Blackwell all of Mountain View, Arkansas. Elizabeth White, Jessica Boswell and husband Nick, all of Cabot, Arkansas. Mary Blackwell of Heber Springs ,Arkansas, Kenny Blackwell of North West, Arkansas, Connie Lynch and Husband Patrick of Fountain, Colorado, and Tari Patterson and Husband Todd of Fenton, Michigan; and thirteen Great Grandchildren.
Willie was the ninth son and fourteenth child out of fifteen siblings. He received a formal education until the fifth grade but a continuing education through a ''Life of hard knocks and common sense'' for the rest of his days. Willie earned a living for his family mostly working at Saw Mills. He was a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a grounds keeper of the cemetery for fifty years. Willie and Burlean were happily married for sixty-two and a half years. They maintained the same address for all but three and a half of those years. Willie AKA ''Wild Will of Sugar Hill'' was a loving and devoted Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Uncle, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Friend and Community leader. Willie led his life and family with love, respect and under the guidance of our Heavenly Father. ''…as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.'' Joshua 24:15
Homegoing Services for Willie will be held at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, Sugar Hill Community, Mountain View, Arkansas at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2011 with interment in Elizabeth (Sugar Hill) Cemetery.
His sons will conduct the services and his grandchildren and spouses will serve as pallbearers.
Roller Coffman Funeral Home, Mtn. View is in charge of the arrangements.
Dear Aunt Burlean and family, I loved Uncle Willie and he always made me feel loved whenever we came to AR for a visit. I will miss him.

mr willie was always such a joy to serve and was so proud of his granddaughters. whenever i had the opportunity to see him he was always so kind and humble even when he was feeling his worst his concern was for others. my deepest condolences to the family.
