of Shawnee, OK
January 20, 1957 - August 6, 2011
Alan Wade Branscum, 54 formerly of Timbo entered into rest on August 6, 2011 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Alan was born January 20, 1957 in Portland, Indiana to Glen David and Imogene Geneva (Butler) Branscum. He was U.S. Army veteran and of the Baptist faith. He was self-employed stone mason.
He is survived by his children, Anthony and Renee Branscum; brothers, Roger Lee Branscum, David Lynn Branscum and Robin Glen Branscum; step-mother Nellie Branscum and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Imogene Branscum and two brothers, Frankie Edward and Gale Dean Branscum.
I knew Alan on the streets of Shawnee. We both had a lot in common. One, neither one of us was on the streets of our own accord. Two, we both had had the compassion needed to get by with less, as we tried to give more to humanity. I knew him for a very short time, but I still call him friend.
My deepest empathy for your loss.
My prayers go out the the Branscum Family. Alan was a classmate of mine at Timbo, He will be missed by all his friends and family
Alan..I know you will be missed by your family and friends. My family knew Alan from school. He was in class with my brothers and he was always a nice person. God Bless his family.

I am so sorry to this this sad news. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Alan was a classmate and friend. He was a kind person and I know that he is in the loving arms of our Father. He will be missed and never forgotten.
Alan was my cousin and a friend. He was a smiling, caring, and compassionate person who had many talents and gifts. We will all miss him and he was loved by this family. Distance kept me from his service, but I was there in mind, heart, prayer, and spirit. Love to Roger, David, Nellie, Robin, Alan's kids, nieces and nephews....
With heartfelt sympathy, we remember Alan and the entire Branscum family during this sad time.
Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Alan's family. I had the privelege of meeting him last year at Thanksgiving dinner. We were both away from our families during the holiday. He was very personable and I couldn't help but notice his kind eyes. I wish him peace and rest in the arms of God.
Once again we are saddened by the loss of a love one. Our families have been touched by so many losses, but we all know the goodness of God and family will keep us strong. Our best to Nellie, Roger, David and Robin, we love all of you.
