Nelbie was such a sweet, caring woman with a lively, beautiful spirit. She would always have a smile on her face when I would go with my mother, Sondra, to visit her. I enjoyed our chats and her stories about her childhood and horse ranch. My condolences go out to her loved ones, she will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. I am thankful to have had the pleasure of knowing her as my great aunt. Heaven gained another one of its angels!

I was feeling sorry for myself because I would not get to go tell Nelbie goodbye, then I thought but I will get to tell her hello again in a better place. She had a great influence on me and my twin sister, Peggy. I remember she made us aprons one time when we were children, just because. That was Nelbie her life was about "just because" and it was just because she loved Jesus that she lived her life as an example for us all. We all send our best to you and the children and grandchildren, brothers and sisters.

Love from Uncle Melvin and Aunt Retha children and grandchildren

Hi Kathy, I so remember as a little girl visiting your Mom and Dad. They were both such wonderful and happy people. Mom and Dad (Ed & Delma) loved them so much....don't you know they are having such a wonderful time rejoicing together again in Haven? I know you will miss her so much. I love the picture of her!

Kathy and family, I am so saddened about the loss of Aunt Nelbie in this life, but so thankful that we shall see her again along with all the other loved ones who have passed in the after life that God has promised.

She will always remain in my memory. As a child, I loved to spend time at her house with all of you. I remember Aunt Nelbie's good cooking, her pretty gardens, and of course her many crafts. Mainly, I will remember her laugh. There are many times we were all in church worship together, attended family reunions, large meals together at Grandpa and Grandma's, and I even remember a few picnics and camp trips with the Pony Peak crew. She loved her family, and I am glad I got to have visits with her whenever we got to visit Arkansas. She was lucky too to have such caring family in all of you. My Mom, as well as all family in heaven I'm sure greeted her with open arms. She was an inspiration to so many people, and a lasting influence too. I loved her and will always keep her memory.

Kathy-thinking of you. Called Jerry this morning and reminded him of the times he came to UCA to take you for a hamburger and we all went along, that was when Tom Bonner was his roommate. Charles and I always enjoyed visiting with your Mom when we visited Granny Rosa at the nursing home. Please give my sympathy to Charles Neal and Wendy.
