Sherman D. Curtis, 82, of Mountain View entered into rest on March 17, 2011 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Sherman was born April 19, 1928 is Sasakwa, Oklahoma to Lewis Curtis and Julie (Huffines) Curtis.

Sherman was a member of Foothills Baptist Church, veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired machinist from Eaton Corporation.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and brother.

He is survived by his wife Beverly Voyles Curtis of the home; daughters Sharon Underwood and husband Robert of Searcy and Sylvia Boyd and husband Charles of Jackson, TN; son Dwight Curtis and wife Robin of Donaldson, AR; brother Don Curtis; three sisters Joy Emard, Pauline Klaffke and Jewel Wallis; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Julie (Huffines) Curtis; brother Lewis Curtis, Jr. and sister Lorraine Branscum.

Funeral service was Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Foothills Baptist Church, Mtn. View with Bro. Jimmy Hogg and Bro. Don Strait officiating and interment in Levisy Flat Cemetery, Mountain View.

Pallbearers were Mike Wallis, Harper Sanders, Brian Wilkie, Austin Wilkie, Danny Simmons and Richard Nelson.

Roller Coffman Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Beverly,
I am so sorry to hear of Sherman's passing. I didn't know until today when I saw it on here. He was a sweet person and will be missed by everyone. I pray God will comfort you.
