Mary Magalene Sutterfield Gammill, 69, of Alco, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Monday, October 18, 2010 in Springdale, Arkansas.
She was born April 4, 1941 in Big Flat, Arkansas to the late James Elmer and Margaret Jaunita (Thacker) Sutterfield.
She was a homemaker, employed by the local shirt factories and other jobs for a total of 34 years and was retired at age 53. She was a member of the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She graduated from Big Flat High School in 1958 and was married in 1965 to Rubin James Gammill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rubin; father Elmer and mother Jaunita Sutterfield; sister Willene (Sutterfield) Richardson, and great niece, Payton McKenzie Williams. Also preceding her in death were her grandparents John Thacker and Nettie Treat Thacker McCoy and Russell and Pearadine Stephenson Sutterfield.
She is survived by brother Waco (Callie) Sutterfield of Greenbrier, Arkansas and sisters Betty Pinkston of Lowell, Arkansas, and Mazie (Ronnie) Lee of Onia, Arkansas; a special friend James Sanders of Rogers, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of loving relatives and many close friends.
Visitation is 12 p.m. 2 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. October 21, 2010 at Roller Coffman Chapel with nephew Jamon Lee officiating and nephew Neal Richardson reading the obituary.
Interment is at the Pordue Cemetery, Onia, Arkansas by Roller Coffman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Neal Richardson, Greg Pinkston, Justin Lee, Eric Sutterfield Dean Gammill and Foy Eddings. Honorary pallbearers are Wendy Stevens, Dr. Angela Ayson, April Lane, Valorie Young, Moniaco Gammill and Ernestine Powell.
Roller Coffman Funeral Home, Mountain View is in charge of the arrangements.
