Marie (Blazer) Richardson Sexton, 84, of Optimus entered into death on October 4, 2010 at home.

Marie was born July 18, 1926 in Egypt, Arkansas to Levi and Birdie (Gleghorn) Blazer. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Mtn. View. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred Sexton; daughter, Linda Allen of Calico Rock; three grandchildren, Jimmy Allen, Greg Allen and wife Beth and Todd Allen and wife Missy; four great-grandchildren, Chris Allen, Will Allen, Maryclaire Allen and Lindsey Grace Allen; two step-sons, Garry Alfred Sexton and wife Janell of Calico Rock and Paul Sexton and wife Patricia of Fort Worth, Texas; three step-grandchildren, Kevin Sexton, Kyle Sexton and Paul Sexton; two step-great-grandchildren, Taylor Sexton and Dylan Sexton and host of other relatives and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy (Sonny) Richardson; her parents, Levi and Birdie Blazer, three brothers and five sisters.

Visitation is 6 8 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Roller Coffman Chapel, Mtn. View.

Funeral service is 10 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2010 at First Assembly of God Church in Mtn. View with Rev. Bill Piker and Rev. Paul Sexton officiating and interment in Optimus Cemetery, Optimus, AR. Pallbearers were Jimmy Allen, Greg Allen, Todd Allen, Kevin Sexton, Kyle Sexton and Paul Sexton. Honorary pallbearers were Marvin Calhoun, George Jacobs and Bill Jones.
