Gilbert Stewart, 75, of Mountain View entered into rest on September 25, 2010 in Batesville.
Gilbert was born March 12, 1935 in Long Beach, California to Wade and Esther (Morrison) Stewart.
Gilbert retired from construction. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Vera (Gridlan) Stewart; daughters, Debbie Stewart of Onalaska, Wisconsin and Jenny Fields and husband Jon of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Denise and Julie of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Daina of Arlington, Texas; great-grandchildren Shelby, Micala, Joshua and Morgan of Arlington and Xeta and Griffin of LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Karrie Lynn, sister-in-law, Ginger and his parents, Wade and Esther Stewart.
Memorial service will be at a later date.
