I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. As a Christian, I know we need comfort from the Scriptures. Below are some that I personally find very consoling and I hope you do to.
"Blessed be . . . the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation."—2 Corinthians 1:3, 4.
"You are opening your hand and satisfying the desire of every living thing."—Psalm 145:16.
"He [God] has set a day in which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and he has furnished a guarantee to all men in that he has resurrected him from the dead."—Acts 17:31.
"I—I myself am the One that is comforting you people."—Isaiah 51:12.
"Like a man whom his own mother keeps comforting, so I myself shall keep comforting you people."—Isaiah 66:13.
"This is my comfort in my affliction, for your own saying has preserved me alive. I have remembered your judicial decisions from time indefinite, O Jehovah, and I find comfort for myself. May your loving-kindness serve, please, to comfort me, according to your saying to your servant."—Psalm 119:50, 52, 76.
"The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life."—John 5:28, 29.
I am so sorry for your loss. I am related to both Glenda and Gary, and just want to offer my condolences. God's comfort and blessings to all of you.
Jimmy & Judy Tilley, I love you both with all of my heart & i loved your precious daughter, Candy (my cousin) from the time i first met her. She was special. Even back then i knew that. I saw a happy out going-sandy blonde haired girl that loved her parents deeply. What impressed me was that she also saw you as friends. I know you felt that way too & the pain & loss you feel is Soul Breaking! We ask why, but we can never find an answer. Just be comforted in knowing, your precious Candy is in heaven now-with Jesus Christ our Lord & someday we will know why & be reunited with those we hold so preicous! Here are some passages to read & comfort you in the Bible. 1 CORINTHIANS Chapter 15 vs. 50-58... Know-if my love-my tears-my pain-my care- my prayers could end your sorrow- it would be done. I know it is not that easy, but know you have it all! I will keep in touch. Also her husband & son have all of the above. God Bless-Hold & Comfort you now & always!!! I Love You!!! Teresa (Tilley) Derrickson...
