Carol, it has been so long since I've seen you and Veryl. I saw his face in the paper today and it brought back so many fond memories of my early teaching career in Batesville. If it hadn't been for your family's friendship I don't think I would have survived. Veryl almost made me go back get a biology degree.
Love and God bless you both Nancy Wilson

To Carol and Family,
I am deeply saddened by your loss. As a biology major you can imagine he was an integral part of my life, and rarely a day went by when I did not see him. I have some crazy memories too, him sitting at that scope in his office sorting bugs so he could trade them for butterflies, and the fact that I knew I was always going to have an 8 o'clock class (I'm still not a morning person). I can't even begin to imagine how many lives he touched and changed in 30 years, but I know mine was certainly one of hem. Much peace and many prayers to you. I will be with you in thought on Monday.

Dear Carol, Marcus and Kristina,
Words cannot express my deepest sympathies for you all at this time. Dr. Board was my teacher, mentor and friend. Truly, if not for Dr. Board and his caring for my future, I would have never made it through my academic studies. And Carol, my fondest memories were the many times my classmates and I sat at your table with your children, eating the best homemade pizza I had ever put in my mouth. Dr. Board will be missed by all his students who knew him and loved him. The Lord bless you and keep you always.
