Eula Fay Arnold Sipes, 96, of Batesville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
Eula Fay was born in McLean, Texas, on June 20, 1920, to Nelson Wheeler Foster and Eula Mae Anderson Foster. She was united in marriage to Clarence Arnold on October 17, 1942. After the death of Clarence, she married Austin Sipes.
After graduating from West Texas State University, she taught English at Batesville High School and was librarian at Mount Pleasant school in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas.
Eula Fay was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence Arnold and Austin Sipes; her parents; her sisters, Sarah Ellen Foster Hooper and Wyvetta Mae Foster.
She is survived by her four children, Tom Arnold (Diane), Ricky Fay Arbogast (Robert), Bill Arnold (Jeanie), Bob Arnold (Cherrie); grandchildren, John Arnold, Misty Elam (Brad), Ashley Rogers (Justin), Meagan Faircloth; three great-grandchildren, Kaine Elam, Bailee Elam, and Kambryn Rogers; and sister, Mary Evelyn Almquist.
Eula Fay was a long time member of Central Avenue United Methodist Church and a volunteer at White River Medical Center.
She loved having beautiful flowers, home-grown tomatoes in her garden, and colorful birds at her feeder. She also had a gift for writing poetry and painting. She gifted her children with many of her original creations. Eula Fay will be remembered as a loving, well-grounded anchor for her family, for her unwavering faith, and for her kind and positive spirit, strength and compassion.
A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Central Avenue United Methodist Church with Paul Seay officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear about Ms. Eula!! She always was so sweet and kind to me growing up. She always welcome me into her home when Bob and I went through our teenage motorcycle days. Even though I didn't see her that much in these later years, she always was the same person I always remember! She will be missed by all who loved her! Charlie
Mrs Eula Fay was such a dear sweet woman loved by so many. Mom always just adored her and I am certain was standing at the Pearly Gates to be one of the first ones to welcome her Home! Keeping all the family in my prayers.
