Altha Modene (Polston) Anderson, 91, of Batesville, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
She was born on February 14, 1926 in Charlotte, Arkansas to Wesley Ethan Polston and Lydia (McDoniel) Polston.
She loved working on the farm with the animals and enjoyed sewing. She was a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Don W. Anderson (wife, Patsy) of Cord and David Anderson (wife, Rita) of Cord; one daughter, Marcia Milligan (husband, Gary) of Sulphur Rock; two brothers, Marlon Ray Polston of Jacksonville and McDonald (Boots) Polston of Memphis, Tn; one sister, Modella Worstell ; four grandchildren, Wayne Anderson, Regina Caraway, Amanda Dunehew, and LeeAnn Bullington; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Don Price Anderson; two brothers, Marvin Polston and Melvin Polston; four sisters, Mayona Eason, Margie Ondreicka, Monnie Haig and Maxine Skiles.
Pallbearers are Timmy Bullington, Bobby Dunehew, Tony Anderson, David Hix, Wayne Anderson, and Jay Lynn Anderson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wesley Polston, Andy Polston, Riley Caraway and the nurses of Woodlawn (Orange Blossom Hall).
The funeral service will be at 11:00am on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Jerry Lumpkin officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Cord.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00am on Friday at the funeral home.
