Bobby Gene Moser

of Spring Mill, AR

February 5, 1937 - September 13, 2016

Bobby Gene Moser, 79, of Batesville, Arkansas, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

Born February 5, 1937, in Guion, Arkansas, he was the son of Allen and Vestal (Tinkle) Moser. For 20 years, he was a lineman for the Santa Fe and Union Pacific railroad. He also worked in maintenance for ConAgra for 20 years.

Bobby was a member of the Love Holler Hunting Club and loved the outdoors. He especially loved hunting deer, running his hounds, and fishing. He was a very hard-working person who was very unselfish and loved his family. Listening to the Cardinals play baseball on the radio and dancing to Bob Seger, Elvis, and Chuck Berry were some things he enjoyed. Bobby also enjoyed riding 3 and 4 wheelers and bush hogging. He liked his yard mowed to the point of it looking like a golf course. Bowling and taking his grandchildren to the bayou were other things Bobby liked to do.

Survivors are three daughters, Lavonne Butler and husband, Randy, Tina Moser, and Kathy Baker, all of Spring Mill, Arkansas; sisters, Inafay Roach of Millington, Tennessee and Maxine Manley of Batesville, Arkansas; four grandchildren, LaToya Kinion of St. Augustine, Florida, Nick Butler and wife, Morgan, of White Hall, Arkansas, Darin Landon Kinion of Bethesda, Arkansas, and Robert Shawn Baker of Batesville; two great-grandchildren (on the way); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Vestal Moser, and three brothers, J. D. Moser, D. J. Moser, and Amos Moser.

Pallbearers will be Randy Butler, Nick Butler, Landon Kinion, Robert Shawn Baker, Pete Hamilton, and Terry Franks. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. David Posey and Love Holler Hunting Club.

Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Rolle-Crouch Funeral Chapel with Gary Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the funeral home.

Nick is a friend, brother, and coworker of our at the Arkansas Department of Health, Infectious Disease Branch, where he provides invaluable service always with a smile. This tell me and our TEAM that his deceased Pa-Pa did leave a legacy that touches all our lives in a wonderful way, and blessed so many souls he may not have lived to even meet nor get to know. So you work is fully done Sir; your contributions to humanity at large and especially in Arkansas through your beautiful Family is unmatched. Through them you have left this world a better place that you met it; and for that We're ever grateful to God for allowing you to pass this way at this time. Now go rest in peace and touch the Face of our Lord.

I am very sorry to read of the loss of Mr. Moser. With his accomplishments, and dedications, both in his professional life and personal one, he was an amazing man! I won't pretend to know what you're going through, but what has helped me deal with the loss of those I love is turning to the Scriptures, something that has been a real source of comfort. One Scripture that gives me hope is John 5:28, 29 which says, " Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out ." I hope that this verse will also comfort you and, I hope you and your family can get through this difficult time. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your beloved father, grandpa and friend. Sincerely, Meryl
