Paula Edington, RN, 58, of Batesville, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
She was born in Mountain View, Arkansas on June 15, 1958 to Hugh ''Hoopie'' Norman and Martha Pauline Balentine Norman McCarty. She loved hunting, riding motorcycles, gardening, and volunteered at the Independence County Shooting Range.
She worked at White River Medical Center. She was a compassionate emergency room nurse for over 25 years. Paula was a loving mom, wife, daughter, sister, Nanny P, and aunt. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Paula is survived by her husband, Tony Edington of Southside; one son, Jason Edington of Southside; two daughters, Tosha Edington and Billie Espinosa, both of Southside; and one granddaughter, Sophie Nelson of Southside. She is also survived by her mother, Martha Pauline McCarty of Fifty-Six; two brothers, Gary Norman and Darrell Norman, both of Fifty-Six; two sisters, Sharon Younger of Cabot and Myra Dick of Wichita, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews along with many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Norman.
Pallbearers will be Danny Mullins, J. W. Mullins, John McSpadden, Randy Reynolds, Rodney Stubbs, Jimmy Carter, and Shannon Marlin. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Anderson, Bob Copeland, Bob Hughes, Bubby Nash, and James Becker.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Southside, with Gary Don Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at Kyler Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in her name to Centennial Bank, 1895 Harrison, Batesville, AR 72501.

There are no words for your loss. Please know how sorry I was to hear of Paula's passing. Paula was one of those rare women who loved your children and Billie like her own because to her they were. I always enjoyed running into you both and visiting with y'all. I loved seeing the smiles and love on your faces and in your eyes as y'all told me the latest going ons. Paula will be missed by many. You and the kids are in my thoughts and prayers.

Tony, Billie, Tosha, & Jason words cannot explain the Love I have for each of you & for Paula. I'm so Thankful that we all have known from the day that she started having problems that she was in God's hands & that He was in complete control of what was in store for her.
