Terry Hastings Ellis, 68, of Batesville, died Monday, April 20, 2015, at White River Medical Center.

He was born in Searcy, Arkansas on April 20, 1947, to Otis Hastings and Margie Lee (Sexton) Ellis.

He worked as a die cast man at White Rodgers for 27 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, catfishing and working on cars. In his younger days, he was a stock car mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his sons, Terry D. Ellis of Flower Mound, TX and Shannon Ellis of Batesville, AR; a daughter, Tammy Littleton also of Batesville. Other survivors include his ten grandchildren, Terry Bolen of Russellville, Timothy Bolen of Cabot, Destiny and Dillon Nicholas both of Flower Mound, Dalton Littleton, LeAndra Littleton, Tisha Ellis, Shannon Ellis Jr., Lynsey Ellis and Taylor Ellis all of Batesville; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2015, at Desha Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Swinea and Bro. Troy Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Roosevelt Cemetery in the Roosevelt Community near Pleasant Plains under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Tammy, Terry Dale, Shannon and family.
I am so sorry to hear about the death or your father. He no longer is suffering and that is a blessing. I know you will all miss him terribly but he is heaven and we'll will see him soon. I have so many fond me mercies of growing up and being neighbors. I will never forget some of the best fish fries and meals at your house. I know things will be tough but your all in our though and prayers and let us know if we can do anything at all. Love thoughts and prayers to all of you. We are just a phone call away if you need anything. Love to you All.
