Lockie Dobson, 101, of Batesville, Arkansas, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014, in a local nursing home.
Born October 8, 1913, in Cave City, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Oliver Verdo Crow and Junie (James) Crow.
She retired as a sales clerk and was a member of Central Avenue United Methodist Church in Batesville.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Propps of Huntsville, Alabama; five grandchildren, Alesia Carter, Michael Propps, Susan Schilling, Marilyn Carter and Peter Mommsen; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Paul Crow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ben Dawson; second husband, Alfred Dobson; a daughter, Mary Wanda Mommsen; three brothers, Raymon Crow, Kermit Crow and Floyal Crow; and a granddaughter, Debra Elaine Williams.
There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2014, with Bro. Paul Seay officiating.
There will be no visitation.

Lockie was such a special person. I always loved visiting and talking with her.

I worked at the Lucky Dollar Store on Main Street, when I was just old enough to be hired. Ms. Lockie was such a sweet lady to me and she was willing to show me the ropes.
aunt Lockie was , is the sweetest person I have ever known. GOD bless her, love her so much and will miss her. she called us the kids. Wanda Janell & Larry. we always had a good time visiting in her home.

The world got a little darker today. Aunt Lockie was a very special and loving Aunt. I know her star is shinning brightly today. She is missed but never forgotten. I am blessed to have had her as my favorite Aunt. God bless all
