Pansy Lucinda ''Cinda'' Maxwell, 97, of Benton, Arkansas, formerly of White House, Tennessee, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in Benton.

Born April 14, 1917 in Protem, Missouri, she was the daughter of John Jackson Hicks and Rosa Hathcock Hicks.

During her younger years, she worked in the cotton fields and made her five children's clothes by hand. She was a cook at Dunklin County Memorial Hospital for many years. She and her husband ran a restaurant in Hardy and Diamond City, Arkansas.

Cinda enjoyed sewing, quilting, needlework, knitting, crocheting and babysitting her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two sons, Lonnie F. Maxwell and his wife, Brenda, of Jenks, Oklahoma and Ruben J. Maxwell and his wife, Diane, of Whitehouse, Tennessee; a daughter, Linda J. Owen, of Kennett, Missouri; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Flynn Robert Maxwell; a daughter, Mary Lavina Croom, a son, Johnnie L. Maxwell; two brothers and three sisters.

There will be a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November, 29, 2014, at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Aaron Maxwell officiating.

Burial will be in Macs Chapel Cemetery at Sulphur Rock under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 29, at the funeral home prior to the service.

So sorry to hear this the few times i got to spend with her was great. She always had stories for us from the past. She loved to make those quilts. She sure will be missed by all of us.
