Ralph Wallis was a wonderful man and loved by many. I am Bob Hufstedlers daughter. I believe Bob Wallis was named for my dad. I loved Ralph. He always told great stories of when he and my dad and uncles were boys growing up. He will be greatly missed.
What a wonderful man...I remember him so fondly from all the mission trips to Arizona when Roger and I were a young couple at North Heights. He touched so many lives and loved everyone. A lot of ministers visit hospitals as part of their service, but brother Wallis visited because he loved and truly cared about everyone. Heaven is truly rejoicing now and I imagine he has all the angels laughing by now with his great sense of humor.
When my mom passed away in 2004 I wasn't sure who I should call to speak at her memorial service. I knew that Mr. Wallis knew my mom and her family several years before, but wasn't sure he'd remember her. Not only did he remember her he stayed on the phone with me for close to an hour telling me stories about her and our family from back in the day. He graciously accepted my request to speak at her memorial. I'll never forget the selfless generosity this great man showed me and my family in our time of sorrow. What a great man.
Mr. Wallis was always so kind to me as one of Joy's friends in school. He was sweet, funny and a wonderful example of a Christian man. It was my honor and privilege to have known him. My thoughts and prayers to you Joy, and to your brothers.
Ralph Wallis loved a lot of people AND a lot of people loved Ralph Wallis.Brother Wallis married Jerry and me over 40 years ago. We just loved him. A couple of years ago Ralph stopped in the Bald Knob Travel Center. Jerry and I were there. Ralph came up and gave me a big kiss on the cheek. Then he turned to Jerry and with a twinkle in his eye asked, " Now what are you going to do about that?" Jerry smiled and said, "*I guess I won't do anything" Ralph Wallis has had a big impact on so many. He will always be remembered in our hearts.
SO many have benefited from your dad's work for the Lord and for this we will always be so grateful.
You could just look and see the TRUE LOVE he had for others, ALL others and what a true shining example he has left with all of us...Our entire area has lost such a fine friend.
Please know you will be in our prayers and thoughts in the days ahead. We will never ever forget him, and hope to meet him again some day with gladness in our hearts.
Clarence, my thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family.

I remember when Ralph and his wonderful family came to Batesville and he was hired by the Boswell Street Church of Christ at that time. I went to school with all of his sons and have very fond memories of being around them and their family. A great loss for the brotherhood but a wonderful gain for heaven.

Frank, Clarence and Family,
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I remember the night he was hit by a car in front of the funeral home several years ago, as I was also attending a visitation. I ran to my car to get a small quilt to cover him while waiting on the ambulance to arrive and prayed for his recovery. His work was just not finished at that time......May God Bless You All.
My most special memory of Ralph was hearing him pray at the dedication of the Ronata Newberry Woodbridge Memorial at Southside Schoo/. He was a great man who loved erery one of God's children. Thank you got drring him with the world..
Like a father to us for 34 years! No one else like him! Loved and accepted everyone he met. Truly a man oafter God's own heart. Will be greatly missed. Until we meet again sweet friend!
I was sadden to hear of Bro Ralph's passing. Growing up in Batesville, it was an honor to have known this great man of God. Though anyone that knew Bro Ralph knows that he is with the Lord, it is still a time of sorrow for the family and friends. May God grant peace to Clarence, Jim, Frank, Bob Wallis, Joy Rozell and their families during this time.
My family lived on Ball St across from Bro and Mrs Wallis, I always appreciated their kindness, next to my own dad,I always thought Bro Wallis was one of the finest christian men. My thought and prayers are with your family

Ralph was a great man who will be greatly missed. He brought so much joy to all those he met. I will miss him dearly. Ralph, I love you always.
A great man who will be missed. A true man of
God.
When there was a school at North Heights, I saw the children one day as Ralph came into the school. He knelt down and they surrounded him, as his arms opened wide to hug them. I thought this is what it must of been like when Jesus was surrounded by little children. My family has blessed to know him and love him. We will miss him. But he is in Gods presents and has received his reward. Sorry for your loss and may God comfort your broken hearts. James and Carol Wilson.
I am sorry for your loss, but I know it's Heaven's gain! What joy to know you will all see him again! I am keeping you all in my prayers. God bless!
He served my family by preaching two services for us. We appreciated him so much. Blessings on his memory.
We were all so blessed just having know this wonderful Christian man who was a good example to all. Now, he is blessed with his wonderful reward of heaven. Prayers for all of you, his family.
Ralph was a great spiritual worker for the Lord. My parents met him and Mary in the early 50's in Rockford, worshiped where he was preaching and became lifetime friends. He officiated at my dad, Ezra's funeral 22 years ago. He loved the Lord and was involved in so many good works. We love you and will miss you so much. Much Sympathy and prayers to the family

It was an honor to know this wonderful man of God. Ralph is now happy to be with his Mary in Heaven. What a reunion! I know the loss is difficult, but we will see them again, "When We All Get to Heaven". What a day of rejoicing that will be.

Words can not describe the feeling. Mr. Wallis was a true gift from God and there will be no other person like him. We are very blesed to have known him and he will be missed.. Thoughts & Prayers..
What a soldier for the LORD!!! Also a fighter for us (Christians) against satan and his legions. Stood fast and true to the teachings and principals of CHRIST. His sermons were like his life, too short. What an honor to have had Brother Ralph and Sister Mary in my life. Much love extended to all the family, also to the bodies of Christ with whom he worked over the years and all his many friends!
One of my favorite people...Heard him preach lots of good sermons...Loved him lots but hadn`t seen him in a very long time...
Dear family,
What a legacy your dad has left this earth with. He was always kind and friendly. I guess most everyone knew him or knew of him. This town will sure seem smaller since he has moved on. My thoughts and prayers are with you. We will all unite one of these days and be forever happy.
Ralph was a "preacher's preacher." Can't think of anyone who encouraged us more. May have been the sweetest spirit we have ever known. Our prayers remain with the family.
Brother Wallis was such a wonderful Christian example to everyone who knew and loved him. He will be missed. He spoke at both my parent's funeral and we will forever remember his kind and thoughtful words in their memory.
He's resting in the Lord's arms now. He dedicated himself to the Lord's work all his life and now has his heavenly reward! God bless your family during this time.
