Irene obeyed the gospel at a young age and was a faithful member of the church of Christ meeting at Hwy 5 South when she passed away. Although she was unable to attend there the last 3 years of her life because she was out of state, the members there blessed her with many, many cards and letters which she looked so forward to getting. She truly loved her church family and we thank them all for that support.

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please remember her in your own way and pay it forward with a kind word or hug to lift someone's spirit. She loved her hugs. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home. Visit our online guestbook; www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/mtnhome

So sorry for your loss may you find peace and comfort in the words spoken at 2 Corinthians 1:3 & 4" Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we get from God.

My aunt irene, a true friend, aunt, compassionate, caring person. She was my mother's twin. Before and after my own mother's death aunt Irene and uncle Edgar was there for me.
The whole family has a special bond to me.
Aunt Irene will be missed so much. Her life on this earth was so interesting, she helped me so much on my Christian walk. She is with her heavenly family now, god is smiling at this wonderful reunion.

My sympathy to the family on your loss. I met and knew Irene and Edgar through their volunteer efforts for the Corps of Engineers on Norfork Lake. They had a special love for bluebirds, and for many years constructed, installed and maintained bird boxes at several parks. They also led and organized church services for campers and visitors to the area. What kind and wonderful people they were! The way they cared about and treated others, should be an example for all of us to follow! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
