Betty Gene Windland, age 72, of Norfork, Arkansas passed away May 20, 2018 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on May 10, 1946 to Hallard and Lorretta Garvey in Beech Grove, Indiana.
Betty married her husband Jim in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 13, 1971 and they spent 46 wonderful years together. Betty worked for 7 years at Channel Home Center and the 6 years for Rickels Home Center in Indiana. She was an active member of the Norfork Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending her time shopping and being with her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her husband Jim Windland of Norfork; one daughter: Denise Cocco (Timothy) of Frankfort, Illinois; three grandchildren: Olivia Cocco, Averie Cocco, Danielle Freeman; one foster grandchild: Marissa McErlean; one great-grandchild: Kokora Freeman; five sisters: Barbara Locks, Sherrie Martin, Mary Berkenstock, Patricia Holdefer, Penny Langford; three brothers, Hallard Garvey Jr., John Garvey, and Paul Garvey. She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Jim Garvey, Pete Garvey, and Bill Garvey.
A visitation will be held at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday May 26, 2018 from 1-3 PM with a funeral service following visitation with Minister John Harrison officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Paragould Children's Home.
We want to send all our love and sympathy to the family. Betty was a kind and loving person. We are very sad for your loss and you are in our prayers.
