Coy Rudolph Barnett, 88, of Batesville, passed away Friday morning, April 20, 2018.
He was born on June 12, 1929 in Sandtown, Arkansas to William and Effie Mary (Hagwood) Barnett.
Coy was of the Pentecostal faith and was a very hard worker who loved what he did. Coy ran a bulldozer for more than 40 years before retiring. He was a devoted husband, father and friend to all those who knew him.
He is survived by one son, Dale Barnett of Batesville, two brothers; Gene Barnett (Erma Lou) of Batesville and Charles Barnett (Lorine) of Mount Pleasant, three grandchildren; Charles Barnett, Krystal Barnett Trammel, and Shay Barnett all of Batesville, and four great-grandchildren; Kyler Grissom, Chance Barnett, Lawson Simmons, and Braden Simmons.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys (Reynolds) Barnett, three brothers; Carl Barnett, Roy Barnett, and Jerry Barnett, and two sisters; Theda Cornish and Stella Ballard.
Pallbearers will be Chance Barnett, Charlie Reynolds, Robert Martin, Anthony Barnett, Jerry Trammel, and Denny Polston.
Honorary pallbearers are the staff at Eagle Crest Nursing Home in Ash Flat.
A funeral service will be held at the Roller-Crouch Chapel in Batesville on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Lee's Chapel Cemetery in Sandtown.
Visitation will be Monday, April 23, 2018 in the Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
