Faye Dean Ellis

of Conway, AR

June 16, 1938 - April 14, 2018

Faye Dean Ellis, 79, of Conway, AR, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 14, 2018. She was born June 16, 1938 in Little Rock, AR to the late William and Ada (Beavers) Whitcomb. Faye was preceded in death by her son, David Scott Ellis, brothers, Ray and John Whitcomb; and Bandit her loving Shihtzu.

Dave and Faye were married in 1958, as a military wife they traveled many places and put their roots down in Arkansas. They attended many churches throughout the years but Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Plumerville and First Baptist Church of Damascus were like family to them. Faye was described as a loving person who was a caregiver to not only her family but her children at the daycare she owned and her precious dogs. She was loved very much by her friends and family, who will dearly miss the way she made you feel special and loved.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving family, husband of 60 years, David A. Ellis, daughters, Jacqueline Brodie (Jeff), Terry Peart, Carol Fletcher (Jeff), and Stacy Dianne Ellis; 6 grandchildren, Shannon Whitcomb, Mathew Whitcomb (Elise), Rebecca Doughty, Brian Fletcher (Jennifer), Amy Fletcher (fiancé Kris Hurtt), and Caitlyn Fletcher; 2 great-grandchildren, Elia Whitcomb and MacKenzie Fletcher; sisters, Macie O'dwyer (Sean) and Deborah Ellis; brothers, William Whitcomb, Jr. and Donald Whitcomb (Doris); special friend, Joyce, and precious dogs, Toby and Lilly.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Graveside service will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 19th at Crestlawn Memorial Park.

When anxieties overwhelms me, you comforted and soothed me," (Psalms 94:19). My sincere condolences for your loss. Losing someone you love can be very difficult. I’ve found strength and comfort in God’s promise to end suffering, tears, and death (Revelations 2:3,4).

I am saddened to learn about the loss of Faye Dean. She and my mother Sharon (Mross) Britton were friends as young girls and thereafter. She spoke often of Faye Dean over the years and treasured the friendship. Our deepest sympathy, the Britton family.

I went to school with Faye Dean at DVB years ago and have not seen her since I graduated. I recognized her by her sweet smile and she was just as sweet growing up. I know her family and friends will miss her. Rest in Peace Faye Dean

Mrs. Ellis kept my son, Jason, many years ago. She was so kind. I never worried one bit when he was with her. I enjoyed visiting with her in town from time to time after that. Blessings and prayers to each one of her family left to miss her so.
