Janus (Ingram) Reynolds

of Conway, AR

August 12, 1935 - March 11, 2018

Janus Ellene (Ingram) Reynolds, 82, of Conway passed peacefully from this life surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, March 11, 2018. Born August 12, 1935, the youngest of three children, born to J. T. (Ted) and Ruby (Sanders) Ingram, she grew up in Enola before moving to Conway where she graduated from Conway High and attended Central Baptist College. She was married to G. David Reynolds for 57 years until his death in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Weldon and Bobby Ingram.

Janus is survived by her children: David L. Reynolds (Mitzi), Glen Reynolds and Lisa Douglas (Travis); grandchildren David Aaron Reynolds (Courtney), Katelin Douglas Whiddon (Daniel), Lauren Reynolds (Nathan Allen), and Alex Douglas; great-granddaughters Kennedy and Olivia Reynolds, Ashlynn and Aleah Whiddon, all of Conway, and a host of nephews, nieces and friends she dearly cherished.

Janus worked in real estate, at Lifeword Media Ministry, was a homemaker and a pastor's wife. A Master Gardener, she had productive vegetable and beautiful flower gardens. Janus loved to sew, paint, shop for bargains, watch and feed birds and butterflies, canoe, swim, snorkel and boat - especially with family. She established and operated a food pantry near Enola furnishing food and clothes to anyone in need. Janus traveled extensively throughout the world with her husband supporting Wycliffe Bible Translators and Baptist Missionary Association of America.

Janus was a member of Central Baptist Church in Conway. Her family expresses gratitude to care-givers at Brookdale, Home Instead, Seeds of Love and Kindred Hospice for the loving care of her.

Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, March 14th at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral services will be held at 10am Thursday at the funeral home, with burial following at Marcus Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lifeword Media Ministries, P.O. Box 6, Conway, AR 72033.

So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4
“With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them.
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".

So sorry to hear of the passing of you Mom. Even though it has been over 30 years since we lived next to you guys, we still have very fond memories of both your Mom and Dad.

When we lose a loved one, we each have to work through it in our own time and our own way. We hope your time in sorrowful mourning is short and your way is one of wonderful memories.

God Speed!

to Aunt Janus's family,
My sincere sympathy as you all remember dear Aunt Janus. I well remember her kindness to me when I would visit Arkansas and when she and Uncle David would come visit Mom and also me. She was such a wonder companion to Uncle David on their many trips. I loved her expressive eyes and enthusiastic manner back when they were so young and vibrant. Fantastic role models. David,
So sorry to read about your mom's passing, but do trust the Lord's Grace is sustaining you all right now. What fond memories I still have of you all out at Kerr Baptist Church when you dad served as bi-vocational pastor there back in the 60's. I know you'll miss them, but pray you'll find great Joy in your sorrow as you remember where they are the fact that you'll see them again one of these days in that beautiful place called "The Land of the Great No More's" (Rev. 21:4). God bless you.
