Sarah Alberta Seymour Haley, 97, of Little Rock, passed away on January 15, 2018. She was born December 25, 1920 to Harold Kesterton Seymour and Nancy Darthula Nickelson in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She worked as a secretary in the Sunday School Department of Arkansas Baptist State Convention for 23 years until she retired in 1966. Bert was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for 43 years, she was also a member of Elizabeth and Tel Bible class. She enjoyed working as a volunteer in the church library for 45 years. Bert also loved gardening and going fishing with her husband and son.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Harold R. Haley, Sr. Bert is survived by son, Harold R. Haley, Jr. and his wife, Ruth of Benton, Arkansas; granddaughter, Leigh Allison Grugett and her husband, Lee of Franklin, Tennessee; and grandsons, Ryan and Jake Grugett of Franklin, Tennessee.
Graveside service will be 9:00 a.m., Friday, January 19, 2018 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Memorial service will follow at 10:30 a.m., at Immanuel Baptist Church Chapel, 501 N. Shackleford Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Library, Pulaski County Humane Society at www.warmhearts.org; or Hospice Home Care of Arkansas, 2200 S. So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4
(3) "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. (4)
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".

Lois and I were so sorry to hear of Sarah’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Reading Rev. 21:3, 4 and John 5:25 have always brought me comfort, and hopefully will do the same for you.
Your mother Miss Bert was such a blessing in my life I shall miss her as I have many of my own family members. May God give you comfort through your loss and strength during your grief.
