I was so saddened to hear of Austins' passing. He took many of my classes at GHS. He was a terrific, caring and bright young man. I know that he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. My prayers are for comfort and peace during these difficult days ahead.

I appreciate how great of a friend Austin was to my son, Ryan, and how respectful he was to me every time I saw him. No one is perfect, but he sure seemed to be! I was so proud of Austin for joining the Arkansas Army National Guard. He was just beginning to reach his potential. Austin will truly be missed by everyone that knew him. May he Rest In Peace.

You Don't know me, but your son spent the Saturday before his passing with me and my family at the army national guard family Christmas day. Austin and my son, Caleb McMunn, were "the new guys". I sat across from Austin and got to know him. Such a kind hearted guy. Very polite, sweet spirit and welcoming personality. We sat together, ate together, then said our goodbyes. My son's dad, Chris, invited him to apply for his company. I believe it was after he left Chris's office is when the accident occurred. As a mom, my heart breaks for your family. I also know, that if it was me, I would want a complete stranger to reach out and let me know that 1. My son spent time with people who enjoyed his company 2 days before his passing and 2. They thought so much of my boy, after just getting to know him. I Don't know what else to say, so I will end this with letting you know that Austin spoke of his brothers/ sisters/parents with a smile on his face.

I first met Austin when we both made the soccer team the same year. I was a sophomore, and he was a JR. I got to spend 2 years on the field with him, and even acquired a friendship out of it as well. I always saw him with a smile on his face, and when I would see him in the hallways I would always say, "hey", and he always smiled back, and said hey as well. He was a good teammate, person, and friend. He will surely be missed, but I'm thankful I was one of the one who got to know him.
