Patsy Perdue

of Paris, AR

August 26, 1932 - November 16, 2017

Patsy Perdue, a long-time resident of the Lavaca area, died Thursday, November 16, 2017. She fought and lost a battle with lung cancer. Her strength and character, however, prevailed.

Born August 26, 1932, in Denning, AR., Patsy grew up in the small town of Altus, AR, where she graduated high school. As a military wife of the late Theodore Perdue, she traveled and lived in many places. However, her kids and family mainly grew up in Paris, AR.

Although Patsy had various occupations in life, her most precious was mother. She loved her family like no other. Patsy was known for making her friends and family feel loved and welcomed in her home. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, art, and movies. She had an amazing sense of humor and always loved a good laugh.

Patsy leaves her fraternal twin Johnie Adams with whom she shared 85 birthdays. She was preceded in death by her mother Tennessee Lee Dane, father Theodore Roosevelt Adams, and siblings Lillian (Dombek) Stephenson, Tom Dwight Sherley, June Anderson, and Douglas Adams.

She leaves her children Kathryn Wilkerson of Tallahassee, FL., Deborah and Jimmy ''Slim'' Hice of Paris, AR, Paul Perdue of Tallahassee, FL., Janice Mullen of Tallahassee, FL., and Leslie Savell of Texarkana, TX. She had eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday November 19, 2017, at the Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 20, 2017, at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Aaron Madden officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
